The Berlin Philharmonic, under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle and with the Grammy Award-winning jazz vocalist Dianne Reeves, usher in the New Year in style. In this gala concert, they present a programme of music by three of the twentieth century’s most famous composers: Maurice Ravel, Gabriel Faure and George Gershwin. Interwoven with a series of classic Gershwin songs, including the ever-popular ‘’S Wonderful’ and ‘Embraceable You’, are orchestral pieces by Ravel and Faure, including the latter’s Pavane and the former’s La valse and the second Daphnis et Chloe suite.
